Community Matters Funding

Hi there,

There are a few events coming up soon for the community to vote on various projects to secure funding from Clack’s Council Community Matters Fund.

We have submitted an application to desperately upgrade our electrics.  At present, we have no electricity or lighting in our back hall rendering the space unusable.  We really need to use this space to expand our project storage and space.  The number of people using our services have significantly increased over the last year.  For example, we distributed over 70000 meals via our foodbank during 2016 in comparison to the 55000 in 2015.  There was an increase in 300 people attending our soup pot totalling 1755 people receiving support.  More people are attending our community cafe each Friday to socialise with friends in a safe warm and welcoming environment.

Please come along to the Civic Centre this Sat 28th January 2017, between 12 – 3pm, or the Sauchie Hall between 11 – 3pm or the Dumyat Centre, Menstrie between 1 – 4pm to vote for The Gate’s Bright Developments Project.

You can vote at any or all the venues if you wish to do so!!   Please support The Gate!
